The Alcan Jamaica Ltd-Kirkvine Aluminum Mine is near Mandeville, Jamaica. The site was first discovered in 1942 by Sir Alfred H. Dicosta. The ore mined is composed of bauxite, boehmite and gibbsite with waste material consisting primarily of anatase, hematite and halloysite.
