Apr 15, 2015· The Gold did seem to have less top end and be a bit louder. It's hard to compare completely, since the Gold I have is 2.5mm and the closest I have in the acrylic Gravity Picks are 2mm and 3mm, but it seems to me that the Gold has a flatter, maybe clearer response and the acrylic have a warmer sounding midrange even though they have more highs.
According to the makers of Gravity picks, the new Gold series is designed to compete with "premium" picks, such as Red Bear and Blue Chip picks, at a slightly lower (yet still not cheap) price. They follow the same shape and sizes of acrylic models, but are made from a hi-tech thermoplastic that is much tougher than acrylic.

Jan 21, 2019· For a while on my pick quest I used the Gravity acrylic picks. I love the oval grip hole. I use 2.0 mm and thicker picks. The acrylics gave a very bright tone. I got one of the 2.5 mm gold gravity picks (cost more than a bluechip) but I agree they're really not all that.
